Internet Traffic Begins to Bypass the U.S.

Among other things, the article states:
"As Internet traffic moves offshore, it may complicate the task of American intelligence gathering agencies, but would not make Internet surveillance impossible."

There is no doubt that anyone sending email from Nepal to someone within Nepal has to go all the way through some distant country. Not only it is an expensive proposition but bad security too.

Only if folks didn't use U.S. based websites their data would be hard to intercept.
